Let’s be real — if you’re renting out something you own, you want to know it’s safe.
That’s why Zwigi was built with trust and protection at its core. Every feature, from ID verification to item coverage, is designed to give sellers peace of mind while keeping transactions simple and secure.
Here’s how we make sure your renting experience stays worry-free 👇
Verified Users Only — No Exceptions
Before anyone can rent or list items on Zwigi, they go through a strict identity verification process (powered by Stripe, one of the world’s most trusted payment processors).
This isn’t just a quick sign-up — it’s real verification that ensures every user is who they say they are.
Here’s what’s required:
- Government-issued photo ID (passport, driver’s license, or national ID)
- A selfie or live photo to confirm identity
- Date of birth (must be 18 or older)
- Address verification or proof of address
This helps keep scammers and fake accounts off the platform — and ensures that you’re only dealing with real, verified people.
Secure Payments with Stripe
All in-app payments go through Stripe’s encrypted payment gateway, so your transactions are fully secure.
No sharing personal details. No shady money transfers.Just clean, transparent payments that protect both parties.
After a successful rental, your earnings are direct deposited within 1–2 business days — safely and automatically.
Security Deposits for Extra Peace of Mind
Sometimes, you just want that added layer of security — and Zwigi gives you exactly that.
As a seller, you can choose to require a security deposit before finalizing a rental. This deposit acts as a safety cushion in case of any loss or damage during the rental period.
If everything goes smoothly (which it usually does), the deposit is instantly refunded to the renter. But if there’s an issue, you’re covered — the deposit will be applied toward the item’s repair or replacement.
Simple, fair, and effective.
Rental Agreements That Protect You
Every transaction on Zwigi includes a legally binding rental agreement between both parties.
It clearly outlines:
- Responsibilities of both renter and lender
- Expected item condition and return date
- What happens in case of damage or late return
Both parties must agree before any payment goes through. If someone refuses, the transaction simply won’t process.
That means no surprises and no risks — just transparency and accountability from start to finish.
ZAP Protection — Because Accidents Happen
Even with deposits and agreements, we know that accidents can still occur.
That’s where ZAP (Zwigi Assurance Program) comes in — an optional protection plan that covers major cracks, dents, scratches, and functional damage to your rented item.
✅ Coverage includes appearance and functional damages✅ Excludes normal wear and tear✅ Reimbursement or approval turnaround: 1–3 business days
The ZAP program can be added at checkout, and if you (the owner) opt in, renters must agree to the terms. It’s a small cost for total confidence — protecting both the renter and the lender.
Safe. Simple. Secure. That’s Zwigi.
Zwigi isn’t just about helping you make money — it’s about making sure you can do it safely.
From strict ID checks to deposit protection and optional coverage, every detail is designed to build trust between users and make renting as smooth as possible.
So go ahead — list your items, set your price, and rent confidently. Zwigi has your back every step of the way.
